I'm Dara, an audiovisual artist and creative developer. For over 8 years, I’ve been utilising game engines to develop game-like experiences and performance pieces. My artistic and academic background includes research in computer vision, real-time audio/graphics, data visualisation, machine learning, and DSP. I create non-linear compositions that try to blur the lines between contemporary audio-visual art, video games and cinema. My works explore themes such as chaos, silence, dissonance, altered states, Human Computer Interaction and other intersections of culture and technology.
Some of my works were shown at The 360° Gallery (Krakow), The Hidden Door festival (Edinburgh) The Tablbot Rice Gallery (Edinburgh), Sonorities festival (Belfast), Iklectik gallery (London), Paradigm festival (Edinburgh), The Fruitmarket Gallery (Edinburgh) Sound Thought festival (Glasgow).
As a Developer and technical artist, I’ve worked with many clients in various areas such as data visualisation, gaming, AI, XR and DSP. These have primarily revolved around Unity, web and python applications.
